The Portland-Vancouver-Hillsboro, OR-WA metro area ranks first in trade with China with exports of $7.9 billion in 2019, according to the International Trade Administration (ITA).

The Portland-Vancouver-Hillsboro, OR-WA area includes Skamania, Columbia and Yamhill counties and is the 21st largest metro area with a population of 2,445,761.

The International Trade Administration (ITA) promotes trade and investments in the United States through data aggregation and studies on global markets and specific U.S. regions. ITA utilizes its research to negotiate on behalf of U.S. industries and is also responsible for enforcing trade agreements.
