City of Vancouver recently issued the following announcement.

Tree Planting & Mulching Work Party at the Garrison Triangle

Join the Vancouver Heights Neighborhood Association, the City of Vancouver’s departments of Volunteer Programs and Urban Forestry in planting 10 new trees and mulching existing landscape areas at the Garrison Triangle on Saturday March 5, 2022 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. These trees will help provide shade and cooling in the summer, bird habitat, and enhanced community benefits.

Training, gloves, tools, water, and snacks will be provided! This opportunity is family-friendly and great for teens – people of all ages and abilities are welcome! Volunteers should dress for the weather and wear long pants and closed-toe shoes.

Saturday, Mar. 5, 2022 – 9:00am to 11:00am
