Swim beach advisory updates!

Swim beach advisory updates!
0Comments

VANCOUVER  LAKE: We have lifted the closure at the Vancouver Lake but have issued a  WARNING for the swim beach. Test results from water samples collected  this week show water quality has improved, but elevated E. coli bacteria  levels were detected in one of five samples.

While  the beach is no longer closed, we continue to advise against swimming  or wading at the Vancouver Lake swim beach, especially for young  children who are more likely to accidentally swallow water. People who  have contact with the water at the swim beach should rinse off after.

BATTLE  GROUND LAKE: We have lifted the warning advisory for Battle Ground Lake  swim beach. Test results from water samples collected this week show  improved water quality, prompting us to remove the advisory.

We  will collect water samples again from all three swim beaches (Vancouver  Lake, Battle Ground Lake and Klineline Pond) on Monday, June 27.  Information about current advisories is available on our website:
