The Clark County Arthur D. Curtis Children’s Justice Center recently was awarded a $25,000 grant from the Firstenburg Foundation. The grant will be
used to support CJC’s victim advocacy program during the 2023 fiscal year.
“CJC is currently responding to 40% more cases of suspected child maltreatment – and more serious types of abuse – than we saw pre-COVID,” said
Amy Russell director for CJC. “We are thrilled to receive this generous grant from the Firstenburg Foundation to further our victim advocacy efforts.”
Founded in 2003 the Firstenburg Foundation is a philanthropic organization with a strong desire to give back to the communities of Southwest
Washington. The Foundation provides annual grants to organizations that range from $5,000 to $50,000.
The Arthur D. Curtis Children’s Justice Center is a nationally accredited Children’s Advocacy Center that provides a safe, child-focused place for alleged
child victims of criminal-level abuse and their non-offending family members. More information is on the county’s website at
