Clark County Public Health issued the following announcement on Mar. 11.
Here is this week’s COVID-19 update. The last update was issued March 3.
Cases
• 1,204 additional cases (confirmed and probable) since last update
• 71,425 confirmed cases to date (+1,143 since last update)
• 14,261 antigen probable cases to date (+61 since last update)
Hospitalizations
• 97.1% of hospital beds are occupied
• 94.0% of ICU beds are occupied
• 8.8% of hospital beds are occupied by COVID-19 cases and persons under investigation (PUI) for COVID-19 (awaiting test results)
• 4% of ICU beds are occupied by COVID-19 cases and PUIs
• 27 COVID-19 cases and 19 PUI hospitalized
Rates
• COVID-19 activity rate is 135.4 cases per 100,000 over 14 days (Feb. 20-March 5) – down from 267.4 last week
• COVID-19 new hospital admission rate is 6.6 per 100,000 people over 7 days (Feb. 17-23) – down from 9.6 last week
Deaths
• 768 total deaths to date (685 confirmed, 83 suspect)
9 additional confirmed deaths since the last update:
• 1 man in his 50s
• 3 men in their 60s
• 2 men in their 70s
• 1 man 80+ years old
• 1 woman in her 50s
• 1 woman 80+ years old
4 additional suspect deaths since the last update:
• 2 men 80+ years old
• 2 women in their 60s
• 1 woman in her 70s
