City of Washougal issued the following announcement.
The Parks Board is an advisory board to the city council as to the planning, development, management, and supervision of the city parks, squares, parkways, boulevards, play, and recreation facilities and to submit annual budgetary request to the City Council for funds needed to administer park development programs. Board member terms are for three years. Monthly meetings are normally held the third Thursday of each month at 3 at Washougal City Hall in the Council Chambers. DUE TO COVID-19 THE REGULAR SCHEDULED MEETINGS MAY VARY AND WILL BE HELD VIA ZOOM.
The city welcomes interested residents to apply by writing a letter of interest, along with a resume or narrative of background and experiences, and volunteer application found on the City of Washougal’s website to Mayor Molly Coston c/o Parks Board of Commissioners at 1701 “C” Street, Washougal, WA 98671.
Applications will be accepted until the appointment is filled.
