City of Vancouver issued the following announcement on Feb. 24.

Vancouver Parks, Recreation & Cultural Services is hosting an Open House at Ogden Elementary School (3200 NE 86th Ave.) to get community feedback on proposed improvements to Oakbrook Park. Neighbors are invited to stop by anytime between 10 a.m. and noon for a sneak peek at new plans for the park. This event is indoors and masks are required.

Attendees at the open house will be able to:

  • View two proposed master plan concepts
  • Compare playground designs and equipment
  • Ask questions & share feedback with staff overseeing the project

The design concepts being presented were created using responses from the first survey of Oakbrook Park neighbors, which was completed in 2021. A link to an online survey will be provided after the open house for those who would like to share their feedback but are not able to attend in-person.
