The  Daughters of the Pioneers of Washington invites to our monthly meeting  on Thursday, Oct. 6 from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. at the Battle Ground  Community Center.

Our guest speaker this month is nationally renowned historian and  author, Jefferson Davis. He will make a presentation on local paranormal  tales. Davis is the author of “Ghosts,

Critters and Sacred Places of  Oregon and Washington,” “Weird Washington,” Weird Oregon” and other  books. He also leads the Spirit Tales of the Vancouver Barracks Tours.

Bring your own lunch for social time (optional) at 12:30 p.m. The meeting starts at 1:00 p.m.

The group regularly meets the first Thursday of most months at the Battle Ground Community Center.
