The City of Battle Ground is proud to announce that the City has received the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting for the 20th consecutive year.

The award recognizes the City for demonstrating a spirit of transparency and full disclosure in its 2021 Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (ACFR) and is the highest form of recognition in the area of governmental accounting and financial reporting.

The GFOA initiated the award program in 1945 to encourage and assist local governments to go beyond the minimum requirements of accounting principles to prepare comprehensive annual financial reports that evidence the spirit of transparency and full disclosure and to recognize individual governments that succeed in achieving the goal.

“The City of Battle Ground is committed to maintaining a standard of excellence in financial reporting, accountability and transparency, ensuring our residents’ hard-earned tax dollars are managed wisely,” said City Manager Erin Erdman.  “I would like to congratulate our Finance Department, led by Finance Director Meagan Lowery, on this significant achievement.”

The City’s 2021 ACFR is available online at www.cityofbg.org/165/Financial-Reports.
